Week-end to Mtiuleti & Khevi Province

We will drive to north, along the Georgian Military Highway to Mtiuleti & Khevi provinces. This ancient rout is still important as a main link connecting all south Caucasus countries with Russia. On the way visit the old Capital of Kartli Iberia Kingdom - Mtskheta, known as a political and cultural center from 3rd century BC.Explore early and middle Christian Architectural monuments After lunch drive to Gudauri via Ananuri architectural complex dated to 16th -17th centuries.
Start next day with excursion of Khevi rpovince. At the height of 2379 meters the road is crossing the Main Caucasus Range, which is geographical border between Europe and Asia. Explore Kazbegi area and hike to Gergeti Trinity church, located on 2180 meters and surrounded by the snow-capped mountain Kazbek (5047 meter). After picnic lunch drive towards Dariali Canyon. Return back to Tbilisi

DRAFT ITINERARY
Day 1 - Depart for Mtskheta /The World Heritage Site/. Continue via Ananuri complex to Gudauri (-/L-D)
Day 2 - Explore Kazbegi region. Hike to Gergetis Triniti church. Drive back in Tbilisi (B/L/-)
*Optional Horseback Tour to Gveleti or Arsha waterfalls.
