This Program gives unparallels opportunity to develop new, fundamental knowledge about Georgia, known from the earliest time as a geographically advantageous crossroad country, a homeland of Golden Fleece and wine.
This exclusive tour will introduce you to the most of important cities and monuments of Western and Eastern of Georgia, ancient kingdoms of Iberia and Kolkheti, explore the rich cultural heritage and highlands; But also will give a chance to visitor to participate in the excavations of a fortified city Tsikhegoji – Archaeopolis at Nokalakevi Archeological site, one of the most important political end economical centers of Western Georgia between the 4th -6th cc AD.
During 4 days visitor will be involved in the excavations and exploration of surrounding architectural monuments together with Georgian archaeologists and specialists, lead by Professor David Lomitashvili and Beso lortkifanidze
Alongside the excavations, visitor will learn the aspects of early Human Developments from 2nd millennium – 1st AD, the historical relationship of the cities throughout the Near East and Caucasus hold on with slide show interactive lectures and seminars; be acquainted with the earliest hominid of 1.7 million years old founded in Dmanisi medieval city.
During this voyage you will cross nearly all Georgia from fertile valleys and spectacular gorges to the snowy mountains of upper Svaneti region with the highest villages in Europe;
And finally, you will taste traditional healthy food and wine in the warm hospitable atmosphere.
